As proud sponsors of AFC Totton SM:5 FC were fortunate enough to be given full use of the pitch and facilities at the Snows Stadium for our debut football outing. It was a fantastic night under the floodlights , and the (not quite) capacity crowd weren't disappointed with what they saw. SM:5 FC ended up winning a close fought contest 3 - 2.
The match was played in aid of Mental Health charity 'Andy’s Man Club', in order to support and raise money & awareness for this great charity.
125 lives are lost every week to suicide in this country and 75% of all UK suicides are male. We will always encourage our team to open up when they feel like they're struggling but having external groups like an AMC to meet like-minded people is a huge help and genuinely does save lives.
SM:5 Developments are always trying to find ways to support our top charities such as Andy’s Man Club, MIND, CALM and Lighthouse Club and will definitely be holding more events throughout the remainder of the year so watch this space.
