Client Requirements:
SM5 Developments Limited were appointed to carry out extensive refurbishment to 6-8 High Street in Winchester City Centre following their relocation. We were excited to be working with Gentian Developments again on another project. Works were carried out to a tight programme and we were also required to navigate the challenges of working on a listed building in the centre of a very busy city and the restrictions that imposes.
Works include:
- Full rip out of electrical, mechanical and shop fit over three floors.
- Installation of new lintels and cavity trays on windows.
- Installation of new window on level 2.
- Replacement glass to all defected panels.
- External repair work to brickwork and pointing in.
- Strip old flat roof material and installation of new single ply membrane roof on a tapered insulation scheme.
- Strip old pitched roof tiles etc. and installation of new slate tiles.
- Installation of temporary lighting.
- All windows and doors painted externally.
- New doors fitted in courtyard.
