Client Requirements:
SM5 delivered a hospital refurbishment for Morested and Circle Health Group - refurbishing the Reception area, 5 WCs and 8 ensuite ward rooms, working to the hospitals new ‘look and feel’ design. This was undertaken whilst the hospital remained operational, SM5 Developments carried out an extensive strip out and fit out during the three month programme. The works included the installation of bespoke joinery desks, Mechanical and Electrical works and installation of specialist medical equipment. The project was awarded to SM:5 Developments as a JCT Intermediate contract with SM5 responsible for developing the clients design brief.
Works Include:
- Extensive strip out and demolition works
- Upgrade of services including re-wiring electrics, drainage modifications and installation of new sanitaryware
- Specialist installation of medical equipment to ward rooms
- The preparation and decoration of old walls and constructing new
- Reconfiguring of WCs including Assisted and Accessible toilets
- Installation of new flooring and cap and cove skirting throughout
- Decorations to walls, ceilings and en-suites
- Forming new structural openings
- Feature finishes in communal areas
- Fire stopping works
